Description
We have the pleasure of offering 8 lucky drivers the chance to spend the day with multiple JWRC round winner and E Sports champion Jon Armstrong at the most unique tarmac venue in the UK, Bont Rally Stage in Mid Wales.
Jon will be on hand on June 26th between JWRC rounds to offer in car instruction and rally strategy guidance for those looking to progress through the ranks of national and international rallying or generally improve their rallying skills. This date is focused on giving drivers the chance to spend a full day with a driver that has progressed from club rallying to an international level. Jon has won several JWRC rounds now, winning Sweden in February with no prior testing at all. He took runner up prize in JWRC in the 2021 season and looks to be aiming for top spot in 2022.
Jon will be focusing on 1-2-1 tuition with a maximum of 8 drivers through the day where he will sit side by side with each of them to help improve knowledge and skills. We will use Bont Rally Stage' 2.2 mile loop in various layouts for drivers to challenge themselves at this unique venue. Jon will also concentrate on rally strategy and getting pace notes right to ensure you improve mid set as well as driving skills.
The bring your own car package for this date is £450 per driver and includes the following:
- At least 4x 1-2-1 15 minute in car sessions with Jon Armstrong
- In paddock knowledge and guidance from Jon’s time in JWRC
- Unlimited stage miles 9am-5pm
- Media Coverage From the Day
- On Site Medic
- Marshal Team
- On Site Recovery
- RTA Exemption Permit
- PL Insurance
- On Site Camping if required
- Governed by the IOPD
You can also hire a rally car via Forest Experience Rally School for this event, they have the following cars:
- Ford Fiesta R2 1600
- Ford Fiesta R5 Mk2
- Ford Escort Mk2 Pinto
- Competition Licence such as ARDS, Rally Licence, Sprint/Hill Climb Licence, or single day/full season IOPD comp licence that can be gained through us for £15 providing the driver has some previous circuit or rally experience. Under 17's must hold a Junior competition licence.
- Vehicle's Must Have a Minimum of a suitable half roll cage for tin tops & full cage for soft tops
- Vehicle must have harnesses and approved racing seats (do not need to be in date)
- Must wear a helmet
- Where possible fire retardant clothing or overalls to be warn
- Must have at least 1KG hand held fire extinguisher or 50 second firestick
- No spectating is permitted on the stage itself
- A vehicle passport is not required
