Description
Slip&Grip Automotive offer private hire of Bont's 2 mile tarmac stage in Mid Wales (SY25 6BJ). Its an ideal venue for pre-event or pre-season testing for rally cars, sprint or hill climb cars, which is why we see some of the UK's top rally crews using this as their tarmac test venue. Its also popular amongst rally car clubs for club days, product testing for companies as well as being a stunning venue as a back drop for media and marketing.
The stage has several layouts that can be adjusted depending on the crews needs on that day. Bont boasts some of the most challenging single venue tarmac in the UK and makes for the perfect proving ground for those who compete on tarmac rallies all over Europe. The venue has no noise limits and has a sufficiently sized tarmac paddock for crews to work on cars, you can even stay onsite for free. Please note our initial price is a set price for day hire but includes the use of the stage for up to 6 cars (£1100 Inc Vat). Additional cars are £120 per car up to 10 cars and then beyond that we are happy to deals with hirers. The venue is capable of taking 40-50 cars if required.

(Please note Bont Rally Stage as a sports venue is only open by appointment only and days must be reserved and paid for in advance in order to use the stage or of course by booking one of our public test days when we are open)

ERC Driver Jon Armstrong Available for Instruction
Slip&Grip Automotive have partnered with Irish up and coming JWRC rally driver Jon Armstrong to be able to offer crews top quality instruction and guidance at Bont Rally Stage. Jon is now an ambassador for our company and Bont Stage. With experience on the world stage taking runner up spot in JWRC 2021 and ERC3 Champion in 2023 John offers his services at the stage.
(Please note pets are not welcome to the venue)
Safety Requirements to Test at Bont:
- Competition Licence such as ARDS, Rally Licence, Sprint/Hill Climb Licence, or single event IOPD comp licence that can be gained through us for £15
- Juniors must hold a valid Competition Licence to test at the venue
- Vehicle Must Have a Minimum of a suitable half roll cage for hard tops & full cage for soft tops. N/A For certain media days wanting to film road cars please get in touch
- Vehicle must have harnesses and approved racing seats (do not need to be in date). See above for media days
- Must wear a helmet
- Where possible fire retardant clothing or overalls to be warn
- Must have at least 1KG hand held fire extinguisher or 50 second firestick
- No spectating is permitted on the stage itself
- A vehicle passport is not required
- Media must sign on and ideally have PL insurance
This event is governed and regulated by the IOPD (International Organisation for Professional Drivers) with RTA exemption permit.
