A quite special Ford Capri 2.8 Injection that has clearly been cherished much of its life, having only covered a miniscule 26,000 miles from new. Forming part of a collection in recent years it has only covered 6 miles since 2020. Originally purchased in April 1983 in Leeds, the car did almost all of its current mileage in the 80’s with a 2^nd owner taking the car on from 1985 and keeping it for 35 years. According to stickers in the rear window it attended a number of Ford show even all the way back then. It appears to have just had 3 previous owners and presents in such a way that such mileage and low ownership is believable and backed up by various receipts.

Hardcore Ford fans will notice some minor changes it has had over the years which could easily be reversed such as the Brooklands wheels and some chrome engine bay items. The car was also fitted with half leather Recaro interior at some point, which remains in exceptional condition. The underside is clean and well protected. The Signal Black paint on the bodywork is absolutely stunning having had some restoration in 2021 at just under £5,000. In July 2020 the car also received an engine overhaul including unleaded conversion and timing gear. It drives very well, as you would expect from a low mileage 80’s car. The 2.8 was often known as the sweet spot for final development of the Capri and this particular car is a prime example. In show winning condition and ready for the 2026 season.

The sale includes a folder of history with receipts and MOT’s from the 80’s verifying its low mileage. There are also receipts for the bodywork and engine overhaul. Many parts were supplied by the Capri Owners Club and there are some invoices and inspection reports from Ford dealerships.
