When it was released the E46 M3 was the leader of its class and even today it’s hard to find a car to beat it for around the same money. They offer great performance with that stunning S54 engine, timeless looks and when looked after, reliability. This manual E46 M3 convertible is offered in Silver Grey Metallic, black soft top and Imola Red leather seat combined with brushed aluminium interior mouldings. The car has only covered 51,000 miles from new, backed up by service history, MOT history and Reg check report.
Options on this particular car include the colour matching hard top and wind breaker for the rear seats. It drives well with plenty of power and a good gearbox. It has had a carbon Eventuri intake fitted but the original airbox is included in the sale. The exterior is in great order with just some very minor marks on the bonnet and a little paint lift on the edge of the rear bumper. The wheels are wrapped in Michelin tyres. The interior is in good order with just some driver bolster wear. The audio system has been upgraded including Apple CarPlay, but much of the original system is included with the sale. It also has aftermarket car mats. As always, an M car that offers a brilliant all round package especially for the summer months. The car comes with all the tech you expect from a performance car of this era including air conditioning, cruise control, electric memory seats, Xenon lights and PDC.
Maintenance on the car has been kept up together and in more recent times it has had a service at 51,730 miles which also included brake fluid replacement. Other work in recent miles has included new starter motor, alternator, wheel alignment and auxiliary belts. In 2024 Mr Vanos did a reconditioned VANOS unit, new solenoid and timing chain with associated parts. The engine also had big end bearings done by paddock motors in the last 8,000 miles, the work also included new oil pump, engine and gearbox mounts.
The sale includes two keys, the original BMW wallet with all manuals including stamped service book. Also, a small folder of receipts of works carried out and parts purchased. The car appears to have mainly been worked on by BMW dealers or specialists. We have additional images available upon request as well as a walk around video.
