The first generation of the Saab 900 production ran for over 15 years with hatchback, convertible and sedan options. The model was facelifted in the late 80’s but ultimately remained strong, reliable and over engineered. Saab’s B series turbo engine is well known for being a good performer for its age with good power for its era. Combined with double wishbone front suspension the car offered good performance and handling.

This 900i Sedan was imported from Japan in 2000 so the bodywork and chassis remain in pretty good condition. Being JDM, this model comes with a host of options including Air Conditioning and heated seats and cruise control. The current owner purchased it 6 years ago with the intention of enjoying it but it has not had an MOT since 2021. We have now carried out light recommissioning on the car including fresh battery, a good wash and detail as well as a new MOT. The car drives well with a strong engine and the auto gearbox doing everything it should. The interior is in good condition considering the cars age with just a seem splitting on the driver’s seat, an easy fix. The only aftermarket part on the car appears to be the radio. These cars offer fantastic value for money and reasonable performance for a petrolhead that’s seeking out to own something different, unusual and now quite rare. The brand still has a cult following with parts quite readily available.

There is a good amount of history with the car including original documents wallet with various handbooks as well as receipts and invoices carried out over the years. The original import papers are also included. Currently the AC, heated seats and cruise control do not appear to be working, everything else appears to be in good working order including the sunroof. The car has just received a new battery and top radiator hose with AC switch housing due to old ones being perished. Small amount of rust on passenger front arch and some age-related marks and scratches on the paintwork. For the true enthusiast, the sale even includes some old VHS tapes relating to Saab’s history. We have additional images available upon request as well as a walk around video. This car is sold on commission based sale or return service on behalf of a private seller. Viewing by appointment only. We can assist with delivery and export if required.
